When customers ask AI tools for a local option, your business should be the answer. We optimise for AI search, covering Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO).
More and more people skip Google entirely and just ask ChatGPT, Gemini, or Perplexity for a recommendation. Those tools may not know your business exists. They may not make sense of your site. Either way you are invisible to a fast-growing slice of customers.
AI search optimisation makes your business the answer these tools give. We structure your content and data so AI engines understand, trust, and recommend you.
We make sure the crawlers behind ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity can read you.
Rich schema that tells AI engines exactly who you are and what you do.
Content written to be quoted directly as the answer to real questions.
Building the consistent web presence AI models use to trust a business.
Visibility in Bing, which feeds Copilot and ChatGPT search results.
We track how AI tools describe and recommend you, and keep improving it.
Questions that used to become Google searches now go elsewhere. ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's own AI Overviews take a growing share. The behaviour differs in a way that matters. Instead of ten blue links to choose between, the person gets one answer naming two or three businesses. If you're not in that answer, you weren't beaten to a lower position. You are simply absent from the conversation.
This is genuinely new, and it deserves to be said plainly that the field is young and moving quickly. Anyone promising guaranteed placement in an AI answer is selling something that cannot be delivered. There is no ranking dashboard and no submission form. There is no way to verify a position the way you can with Google. Nobody has a decade of data on this.
What we do know is reasonably well established. These systems are trained and grounded on the open web. They lean heavily on sources they can parse cleanly and corroborate elsewhere. They cite structured, factual, current pages far more readily than marketing prose. Most of what makes a business citable is therefore familiar to anyone who has done technical SEO. It is the same work with a different emphasis.
Answer the question in the first two sentences. Pages that state the answer plainly, then elaborate, get extracted. Pages that build to a conclusion over 500 words of preamble get skipped. This is also better for human readers, which is a rare case of the two audiences wanting the same thing.
Facts a machine can lift without inferring. Prices, service areas, hours, inclusions, timeframes, written as plain statements. "Websites from $1,500" is extractable. "Affordable pricing tailored to your needs" is not.
Structured data that matches the visible page. Organisation, service, FAQ and breadcrumb markup, agreeing with what a human sees. Contradictions between markup and page content are worse than no markup.
Corroboration off your own site. A claim only you make is weak. Repeat the same details across your Google Business Profile, Australian directories, industry bodies and any press coverage. That consistency is what makes a model confident enough to name you.
Genuine specificity. Models recommending a local supplier need something to distinguish you. "Brisbane web design agency" describes hundreds of businesses. "Brisbane agency building sites for local service businesses from $1,500 with no lock-in" is far more useful. An assistant can actually build a recommendation on it.
Crawlable to the right agents. GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and Google-Extended are separate crawlers with separate permissions. A robots.txt written years ago may be blocking the ones you now want.
Honestly, and with stated limits. We build a set of the prompts a real customer would type. Examples: "who should I use for a new website in Brisbane", or "best local SEO agency near Chermside". We run them across the major assistants on a schedule. We record whether you appear, how you are described, and who appears instead.
That's a sample, not a rank. Answers vary between users, sessions and model versions. So we report a trend across repeated checks, not a position you can screenshot. Some tools do expose real data. Google Search Console shows AI Overview impressions, and GA4 shows referral traffic from assistant domains. We use those, because they are measured rather than sampled.
The work overlaps substantially with ordinary SEO, and we'd rather tell you that than invent a separate product. If you're already on an SEO retainer with us, a good deal of this is included. Where it genuinely differs is content structure, entity consistency and crawler access. That is what we would charge you for.
AI search is making sure tools like ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity recommend your business. It applies when customers ask them for a local option. GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) and AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation) are the techniques that get you there.
A growing number of customers now ask AI assistants for recommendations instead of searching Google. If those tools do not surface your business, you miss those customers entirely. Being the answer is a real competitive edge.
Traditional SEO aims for a ranking you click. AI search aims to be quoted as the answer itself. It leans more on structured data, clear entity signals and answer-ready content. It complements your existing SEO rather than replacing it.
There are no guarantees with any search engine. We optimise the signals these models rely on: structure, citations and clear content. That gives you the best possible chance of being recommended.
